Our first smiles!

Check out this video: Gradys first smiles!

| Grady just started to smile and goo at us! This is one of my favorite stages. I just love it when they start to interact, and notice that we are there. Grady is now a wopping 13lbs 5 oz and has grown another 2 inches! He is so much fun. We are so greatful that he is as healthy as he is!

WE NEED SUMMER!!!

Wow we need summer to come soooooo bad! This is how I found my children on a cold day, stuck in the house and while I was doing the dishes I wondered why it was so quiet... Well this would be why. Halie and Gavin had thrown all of my couch cutions off of the couch, over the railing to the bottom of the stairs and were jumping on them from a few stairs up. The things that we do for fun. At least they were creative in finding something new to do. Except for the fact that it was my couch that was getting a beating! We are so looking forward to some warm weather so that we can get outside and get out our energy!

Our sleepy boy!

Grady is two months old today! He is our little sleeper. He sleeps a lot but it is so much fun because he loves to be cuddled when he sleeps. We are just trying to take advantage of this because unfortunately it will not last forever. Today we also had shots and that is always so sad. He has slept most of the day except for about two hours when his little leg became swollen from the shots. It was so sad and it broke my heart. He is fast asleep in his swing. He loves his swing and it is one of the best things for me as well! We love our little boy and we are taking in every moment that we can!

Grady's Birth Announcement!

Here is Grady's birth announcement! I thought they turned out so cute. I am not the best at sending these kind of things out so I thought I would put it on our blog to share with those that are not around to see us very often. He is getting so big and so it is fun to have these to remember how little they are, because it doesn't last very long.

Our Missionary!

Elder Jordan Ray Bishop was called to serve in the Richmond, Virginia Spanish speaking mission back in December. He has now been in the MTC for three weeks! He is doing great and working hard to learn the language. I am so proud of my little brother Jordan and for the example that he is to many. Here are some pictures of the brutal day we took him to the MTC. I speak for my mother and I when I say brutal. It was very hard for all of us. It was so neat at the same time to see how proud my dad was and is to have a son serve a mission. My younger brothers that are still at home are going to have to adjust as well. Jordan is the life and voice of our family. He is the one that loves to talk. I sure am missing him even though I couldn't be more grateful for his decision to serve the Lord.

Birthdays, birthdays, and more birthdays!

March is a birthday month for us. Both Halie and Gavin have their birthdays in March and they are only ten days apart. What was I thinking?! Gavin's birthday happened to fall on a Sunday this year which also happened to be my little brother's mission farewell. Needless to say that Gavin didn't get as much attention as we would have liked, but that doesn't mean that he didn't get enough stuff! Halie's birthday was on the 26Th and she wanted to go to Build a Bear for her present from her grandmas. Halie also had a little birthday party with some girls in our ward and from her preschool class. This year we decided to give the kids a joint gift that they could share, and that could be outside and not for me to pick up a hundred times a day! Yeah for me! The kids got a trampoline for their birthdays. They are very excited and love to go out and jump whenever the weather lets them. We have had a few days that they were able to go out but now we are back to having snow on the ground! It is hard for me to believe that my kids are 5 & 3! That is just crazy. They are so much fun and it is so rewarding to watch them grow and become the sweet little people that they are!
