Gavin Goes to Preschool

Ok Halie going to kindergarten was one thing but now I have two kids going to school! I can't believe that my "little Petey" is going to preschool. I guess that it just seems so fast because Halie only went to one year of preschool and Gavin will have two years. I am so glad that he is going to go for two years. He needed the social part this year so that next year he will be able to really learn and know how to listen when he needs to and when to play. Gavin is my very active and rowdy child. I love him to pieces but I knew that this would be interesting at the beginning, while he adjusted to the idea of going to school. The inevitable happened on the second day of school. I got the, "can we talk to you?" after his class when I was picking him up. I knew then and there that this was not good. Gain had hit a little boy during class. Apparently that was a bad day for many, there were at least five little boys that had to sit on time out that day! I had to tell Gavin that he couldn't have the water balloons that i had told him that he could have because he hit a little boy. Let's just say that it was not easy listening to him cry because he couldn't have the balloons but to this day he has not had to sit in time out. I love this little boy and although he is strong-willed, he sure is a sweet boy and he is so stinking cute! Gavin loves to go to his school and color me pictures, he has learned many fun songs and I find him singing all of the time. He will sing to Grady and it is so sweet and Grady just loves to hear him sing his songs and dance around. Gavin has become our little entertainer. He even loves to do his homework so that he can show his teacher what he has done. ( think that it also has something to do with the fact that when he does his homework they put a treat on it when they hand it back, this may have something to do with it.) Sometimes I am sad that my children have to grow up but at the same time I am loving watching them grow and learn. What an amazing joy and blessing!
