I can't believe that my little girl is starting kindergarten! we returned home from our cruise we only had a week to get Halie all ready for kindergarten. She was not excited to go to kindergarten, or as Halie called it "the big school" for a while. I finally figured out that the reason that she was not excited to go was because of her kindergarten shots that had at the doctor's office. She thought that if she went to kindergarten that she would have to have more shots! I can see why she didn't want to do this because when I took Halie in for her kindergarten check up she was great until the shots. Lets just say that it took three nurses and myself to hold her down while they gave her the shots. It was a little traumatic to say the least. When I finally figured this out I explained that she only had to have the shots once so that they would let her into kindergarten and that it was going to be a lot like preschool, and that they don't give shots at school, only at the doctor. She then perked right up and was so excited to get her new school clothes and backpack and all of the fun supplies that her new teacher had asked her to bring. Well we made it to her first day and she looked so cute in her little uniform and all excited to meet some new friends. Her teacher Mrs. Hiatt sent Halie a postcard in the mail and told her that on the first day she could bring her favorite stuffed animal and so Halie took her build-a-bear that she made on her birthday. Halie has made a lot of new friends in her class and she loves to spend time with her teacher.

I can't believe little Halie is already in Kindergarten! (I guess it makes sense, since Tyler is, too...) She's so cute! Is she going to a charter school?
