It is always hard to believe that my kids are old enough to go to school when this time of year comes around, and now I have a 1st grader that will go ALL day long! I have to say that I have mixed emotions about this one. Halie is SO READY to have a more structured day and to also have the social interaction daily! Gavin is not so sure about going to school again, he is not one that likes change much and so to get a new teacher and a new classroom makes him a little nervous. I know that they will both enjoy it and it will be a great way to take a break from each other! Yes, we can get too much of each other every once in a while!
As you can tell from the picture below that getting to school by 8:00am everyday is going to be a task! It is going to take some adjusting to!
This picture was taken after school and by the look on her face I think she is going to like school and she is going to be ok! It also helps that she is more awake in this picture! Halie asked me when she came home "do I have to stay at school that long EVERY DAY?"
Here is Gav on his first day and I couldn't get a good smile because of the sun in his eyes but he was pretty excited to go because there are two other kids in his class from our neighborhood!
This is what he thought of his day at school! I was so happy to hear that he had a good time and is going to enjoy his teacher and class as well!!!
It is going to be a GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!!!

This is almost mean to post such sunny, bright, beautiful days that we are not having! But they sure are cute kids!
your kids are so stinkin cute! And getting so big! It is crazy how quick they have grown up! Gavin is going to have all his preschool girlfriends all over him he is such a stud :)
