Orem Days, Strawberry Days, and the 4th of July!

Orem Days!
So this year we went over to Orem days to see Jed's younger brother who was doing a food booth with his buddy. Hey it was dinner and I didn't have to make dinner!:) Anyway so we of course had to ride some rides, eat dinner, and then the parade came through! It was great fun, wonderful food, and very muddy! It was so muddy that my poor kids had mud all in between their toes and they did not like that very much, but not bad enough to not ride some rides. This was Grady's first time EVER riding on an amusement park ride, and he was hooked after the first one. He threw the biggest fit that he has ever thrown in his entire life when I took him off of that ride! His face as he rode the carousel says it all! He loves to "wide!" Thanks to Pacos we had some amazing chicken quesadillas! And then to cap it all of they were handing out pirated tattoos during the parade that they kids thought were so great!

Strawberry Days!!!
This is one of our favorite weeks in the entire summer. There are so many fun things to see, do, and eat! We love to go to the carnival that comes to town. This year we were so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa Anderson to come with us! Grandma and Grandpa took Halie and Gavin on the ferris wheel. I was not so sure that my kids would even ride it... but they did and they LOVED IT! Jed took Halie and Gavin to play some games and then we took the kids around to ride some more rides. Grady loves to ride ANYTHING! He is always asking for a "wide." We also love to attend Huck Finn Days during the week. Halie was able to get her face painted by the Rodeo Royalty and she gets so excited to see their crowns! We rode the ponies and did the doughnut walk! Grady devoured his doughnut in no time flat! Our last festivity of the week was the Strawberry Days Rodeo! We had a great time and even though the kids lost it and were bored half way through they enjoyed playing in the rocks at the bottom of the stands! It was a great week!

The 4th of July!!!
We had a fun fourth. I have a great friend that invited us to come to her parents home and have a BBQ with them. We also had a great time at the annual Fourth of July parade in Provo! Halie and Gavin had a great time with the snaps at the parade and we wore poor little Grady right out! It was hot on top of all the running around we did. The kids also got to go on a four wheeler ride to see, and feed some horses! This was Halie's favorite part of the day!

What a fun summer! I miss Strawberry Days and the Provo Parade sooooo much! We used to camp out on Center St. in Provo when Hailey and Hannah were little and did it again when the twins were about 2! It was so fun! This brought back a lot of memories...the kids are getting so big!
