Strawberry Days 2008

We love it when Strawberry Days comes around. There are so many fun activities and fun things to see. We started off the week with the baby contest. I decided to go to the baby contest with some of my friends.
Here is Elise & Reed, Grady & me, & Amy & Savannah!
Even though they didn't win we think that they are pretty darn cute.

Our next activity was Huck Finn Day!
My kids look forward to going to Huck Finn Day because they have all kinds of fun games, pony rides, face painting and a pond to catch your own fish in. My kids were a little nervous about the real fish in the pond so they didn't do much swimming or looking for fish.
They loved the face painting and the little games.

Here is Halie waiting patiently for her turn at the fishing pond!

Here is Gavin enjoying his prize at the fishing pond game!

Here is my sweet and very happy baby just along for the ride!

Well we worked up an appetite after all of those fun games and all that we decided to go and get a burger at the burger stand at the carnival.

To our surprise we fell in love with the chef right away.

Sales must be a little slow!!!

Jed was very good to help out a friend that was

left to run the burger stand all on his own. What a guy!

Taking orders, and money and getting drinks and keeping all of the orders straight...

Piece of cake for the professional!

On Saturday we went to the Strawberry Days Parade! This is my kids favorite thing of course because they get lots of candy thrown at them. Halie loves to watch the princesses come on their pretty floats. (the royalty floats) We had a lot of fun even though it was a bit warm.

Our last and final activity of the week was the RODEO! This was the first rodeo that we have taken our kids to. They really enjoyed it and were entertained the entire time. We had a great week spending time together with family and friends.
Gavin with his uncle Jake!

My brother Matt and his wife Brooke and their little boy Jayden!
